Role Overview As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Reporting to the Project Manager and Contracts Manager, you will lead the on-site construction team and coordinate all site activities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisation, and a thorough understanding of multi-unit residential delivery from groundworks through to fit-out and handover.
Key Responsibilities Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with the programme, quality standards, and health & safety regulations Manage the construction of two RC frame apartment blocks from substructure to final completion Lead and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring clear communication and efficient work practices Liaise with the design team, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and drive progress Ensure that all work is carried out to the required specifications and in line with the clients expectations Monitor progress against programme and report to the Project Manager on milestones, risks, and any deviations Maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, quality checks, and health & safety documentation Drive a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all HSE legislation and company policies Key Requirements Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Site Manager role, ideally with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor Proven track record delivering high-density residential or multi-unit apartment schemes Excellent knowledge of reinforced concrete frame construction and sequencing Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and programmes Familiarity with construction software platforms such as MS Project, Procore, or similar Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and other relevant site tickets
