The role requires a candidate who will be: A self-starter, ambitious and driven with sales experience in the field of Wines & Spirits and a record of successful wine study.

Summary: We are recruiting a Wine Specialist to join the team at Classic Drinks to lead the training and development of our business.

The role will report to the Head of Wine.

This exciting role will suit an ambitious, energetic sales focussed professional with aspirations towards career advancement.

Candidates should possess strong commercial acumen, leadership capability and a proven track record in sales management, customer retention and business development.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Weekly delivery of Classic Drinks modular wine training programme to all sales staff Developing the wine customer base of assigned region.

Build-out and delivery of further wine training programs, as required Onboarding of all new staff with introductory wine training program Recording of digital training wine training content Oversee key agency management in marketplace to ensure speciality agencies are growing YOY Support Head of Wine in research and development range bespoke to channel / customer Support marketing team in positioning of Classic Drinks as the number one wine supplier in the marketplace: social media, wine events, ecommerce Maintaining and developing wine press relationships Support and develop of back-end requirements.

Education & Experience 3+ years experience in a wine sales position 5 years experience in Wine trade Completion of WSET level 3 or higher Bachelors degree or equivalent Must maintain a valid drivers license with a driving record that meets company minimum standards Key Abilities and Skills Required: Possesses excellent understanding and knowledge of wine production, wine tasing and the Irish wine market Capacity to consistently articulate and share wine knowledge with staff in an accessible and encouraging manner facilitating knowledge growth to support sales growth.

Communication & Listening Exceptional communication skills writes and speaks clearly in a variety of communication settings and style.

Successfully delivers messages to all levels of the business and stakeholders achieving desired effect.

Identify gaps in collective understanding of wine category and proactively build training solutions to support knowledge base growth.

Ability to sell full range of wine products from entry level to mid-range to premium.

Demonstrated understanding of market positing of key wine agencies to drive sales growth.

Enrich the customer experience by providing solutions to support customer growth Strategically work with marketing function to reinforce and promote Classic Drinks as the #1 wine supplier in the market.

Successfully delivers messages to all levels of the business and stakeholders achieving desired effect.
