Production Manager - Offaly Permanent Role | Reporting to Thermal Plant Manager An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to lead the operations of a portfolio of renewable energy generation assets.
This role is central to managing operational performance, ensuring compliance with environmental and health and safety standards, and maximising plant efficiency to meet renewable energy targets.
Key Responsibilities: Manage renewable energy generation assets to maximise plant availability and efficiency in line with renewable targets.
Lead power plant operations in coordination with the Maintenance team, ensuring targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and within environmental and design limits.
Act as Windfarm Operational Controller when required, overseeing operations planning, reporting, materials logistics, and management.
Oversee material management, purchasing, and contract processes to meet operational needs within agreed budgets.
Liaise with compliance and trading teams to ensure financial optimisation of assets while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Drive the implementation of the Renewable Energy Business Management System, coordinating with customers, partners, regulatory bodies, and accreditation authorities.
Contribute to operations management strategy, including resource and succession planning, team engagement initiatives, and development of people-focused action plans.
Lead and performance-manage direct reports, supporting delivery of both individual and team objectives.
Promote a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring the welfare of staff and the public at all times.
Key Requirements: BSc in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar operational management role.
Strong background in Steam Boiler and Steam Turbine plant operations.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
