The Opportunity

KKR is seeking an experienced Senior AWS Software Engineer. This role offers exciting opportunities for growth and impact as KKR scales its business and continues to innovate.

As part of our continued investment in Ireland, KKR is launching a Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence in Dublin. This new hub will play a central role in developing proprietary, cloud-native platforms that drive innovation and deliver measurable impact across our global operations. Areas of focus include investment technology, portfolio construction and management, liquidity solutions, risk analytics, and advanced data platforms.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using TypeScript and Node.js, leveraging Lambdas, Step Functions and AWS Fargate.
  • Manage and deploy infrastructure using AWS CDK and GitHub actions, ensuring best practices for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs, ensuring robust data access and manipulation.
  • Work with multi-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business partners to meet project and organizational goals.
  • Conduct code-reviews, mentor and guide junior engineers. Promote best practices and strive for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in full stack development with a focus on AWS cloud-native technologies. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and modern software development processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues that arise during projects to minimize delays and keep projects on track.
  • Experience in architectural design for enterprise applications.
  • Experience with serverless architectures, AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
