Job Title: Chief Pharmacist

We are seeking an experienced and registered Chief Pharmacist to join a clinic in Santry, Dublin.

Key Qualifications:

• Registration in the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists for Ireland or entitlement to be so registered
• Significant post-registration hospital experience
• High standard of suitability and administrative, managerial, or business ability

Desirable Skills:

• Postgraduate Clinical qualification
• Previous experience/participation in Hospital Accreditation Programme

Main Responsibilities:

Maintain awareness of patient privacy throughout the hospital and demonstrate behavior consistent with hospital values.

Be accountable to the Chief Executive Officer and have overall responsibility for the provision of pharmaceutical services within the hospital.

Promote safe, effective, and economic use of medicines, actively participate in continuing education and research activities, and identify and implement operational processes to optimize resource use and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Lead, coordinate, and develop comprehensive pharmaceutical services, continue to develop the clinical service provided, and take responsibility for purchasing and distributing medicines in a cost-effective manner.
