Our Client

Phoenix is delighted to partner with an ambitious global financial services firm to hire a Designated Person for Regulatory Compliance (PCF-39F) for its Dublin city based team.

Prior PCF experience advantageous but not essential depending on experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as the Designated Person for Regulatory Compliance for the Irish ManCo (PCF-39F).
  • Monitor, interpret and implement regulatory developments impacting UCITS and AIF structures.
  • Liaise with the Central Bank of Ireland and other EU regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain and enhance the firm's compliance framework, policies, and monitoring programmes.
  • Prepare board-level reports, including updates on breaches, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
  • Provide compliance support on new product launches and onboarding of new clients.
  • Collaborate closely with oversight, legal, and operational teams to ensure third-party service provider compliance.
  • Lead on compliance training, policy reviews, and internal awareness initiatives.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting obligations and ensure ongoing fulfilment of authorisation conditions.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, including UCITS rule mapping and CP86 guidance adherence
  • Participate in internal governance committees and firm-wide risk projects.
  • Report to the ManCo board and where appropriate, Fund client boards.
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in compliance within the funds industry.
  • Relevant degree and/or professional qualification in law, compliance or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of Irish and EU regulatory frameworks (e.g UCITS, AIFMD, CP86).
  • Prior PCF experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience working in a UCITS ManCo, AIFM or MiFID-regulated environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead regulatory initiatives and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Strong team player but highly self motivated.
