CT Metrology Engineer I

The Metrology Engineer will be responsible for CT scanning of components and sub-assemblies and the generation of measuring programs using Calypso and VG Studiomax Software taking full responsibility from receipt of 2D and 3D files through part programming, scanning and final reporting. The Metrology Engineer will assist with other activities including root cause investigations, measuring system analysis, shrinkage and capability studies.
The role involves close co-operation with the device design and development team, tooling engineers, program managers and internal and external customers as parts progress through product design, tooling development, qualification and validation.
Key Responsibilities and End Results:
- Providing metrology and inspection services using CT scanning as a primary measuring tool.
- Assist root cause investigation for non-conforming parts and assemblies.
- Support new and existing projects throughout the entire life cycle of the project from quotation generation to tooling end of life.
- Generation of quotations, invoicing and data archiving for CT activities.
- Reporting of activities including documentation and customer presentation / reviews
- Provide technical support to key vendors / sub-contract manufacturers.
- Maintain Lab and work areas in accordance with 6S standard.
- Ensure compliance with company policies including safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Promote the organization's Values and Behaviors & Engage in Lean culture
- Additional responsibilities may also be assigned including potential scope for engineering technician support on development projects.

- Must take personal accountability for own safety whilst supporting a culture of safety management through compliance with all safety policies, safety observation reporting, and proactive involvement in Jabil AIM programme.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department / position.
- Level 6 education with min 1 years' experience or BEng in engineering or STEM subject, or similar combination of training and experience.
- Experience in Metrology would be advantageous
- Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding would be advantageous.
- Documentation writing skills; ability to write in a clear and concise manner using objective evidence and language.
- Excellent communication skills including presentation of reports, data and finding and interacting with key stakeholders.
- Good analytical reasoning, ability to understand and solve technical problems, work as part of an engineering team and provide sound technical judgement based on available data.
