Consultant Radiologist (Chest and Gynaecology/Genito-urinary Radiology) – This appointment is on the HSE Dublin and North East Region Public Only Consultants' Contract 2023. Initial commitment to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda for 37 hours per week.

About the region and hospital

The HSE has created six new health regions to provide hospital and community care in a patient-centred manner. HSE Dublin and North East provides health and social care to North Dublin, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and most areas of Cavan. Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is a 485-bed acute general and maternity hospital in Drogheda. It provides acute and specialist services to populations in North Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan and serves as the main acute hospital in the North East with services including Critical Care, Orthopaedic Trauma, Surgery, Medicine, Acute Stroke Unit, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Paediatrics. The hospital is an academic teaching hospital with a relationship with the Royal College of Surgeons University (RCSI). The hospital employs approximately 2,600 staff and provides 24/7 emergency care and related services.

Consultant Radiologist
(Chest and Gynaecology/Genito-urinary Radiology)
This is an appointment to the HSE Dublin and North East Region on a Public Only Consultants' Contract 2023 with initial duties at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, for 37 hours per week.

Applicants must be registered in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of radiology. They must also have completed one year certified postgraduate training/fellowship in chest and abdominal imaging CT/MRI.

Requirements

• Registration in the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland in radiology.
• One year certified postgraduate training/fellowship in chest and abdominal imaging CT/MRI.
