Staff Nurse – HDU/ICU (Permanent, Full time)

Applications are invited for the above post in St. Vincent's Private Hospital. We provide a wide range of care to surgical and medical patients of many specialties such as vascular, cardiology, thoracic surgery, colorectal, liver, oncology, haematology.

Overview

Staff Nurses HDU/ICU – Permanent Contract (Full time - 37.5 hours per week).

Role Summary

The Hospital has vacancies for a Staff Nurse on a full-time, permanent basis in our HDU.

Essential Criteria
  • Candidates must be on the Register of General Nurses (NMBI) and hold a current NMBI PIN
  • Have at least 1 year post registration experience in an acute Hospital setting
  • HDU experience in an Irish or UK setting
  • Have proven clinical and professional ability
  • Be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Be fluent in written & spoken English
  • Have a flexible approach to working patterns
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exhibit ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable Criteria
  • Validated course/qualification pertaining to the speciality eg ICU course.
  • Ventilation experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course
