About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to assist with the supervision of ongoing site works.

The successful candidate will liaise with EPS site staff and our sub-contractors to coordinate site activities, including civil/structural works and MEICA installation, while ensuring all site works adhere to the highest HSQE standards.

This role offers varied and challenging responsibilities, providing invaluable exposure for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the purchasing and acquisition of all BOQ items for projects, including labour, parts, and materials.
  • Plan timelines for civil and MEICA installations from contract award to completion and documentation handover.
  • Coordinate site labour for projects.
  • Support the completion of projects on time and within budget.
  • Write engineering reports, method statements, and commissioning schedules.
  • Manage Health & Safety documentation and enforce safe work practices onsite during EPS installations.
  • Ensure technical assessments are completed as required and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Manage submittals through the approval process, track procurement and delivery of equipment, and verify receipt upon delivery.
  • Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure system compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Participate in quality meetings and QA/QC walkdowns as needed.
  • Evaluate RFI responses to ensure no engineering issues.
  • Review and respond to technical queries related to specifications, drawings, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure site supervisors work off the latest drawings at all times.
  • Issue requisitions and verify that delivered materials meet specifications and submittals.
Key Competencies and Skills:
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including reading AutoCAD and all MS Office and project management software.
  • Knowledge of conditions of contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Organize and plan technical meetings with clients and engineers.
  • Set goals and develop plans to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in project engineering, site management, civil and/or MEICA installation, personnel management, and water/wastewater industry experience is an advantage.
Qualifications:
  • Third-level Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Full EU/Irish driving license.
