We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Qualified Accountant to join a growing finance team in Galway. This role is ideal for someone progressing through their professional accounting qualifications and eager to contribute to the preparation of management accounts, financial analysis, and budgeting while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic business environment.
The Role
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Support in creating budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to guide business decisions.
- Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal policies.
- Analyse costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of key accounts, including bank accounts, supplier accounts, and intercompany balances.
- Track and report on financial and operational key performance indicators.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all required documentation is readily available.
- Identify and propose improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide financial support and insights for specific projects or initiatives as required.
The Person
- Actively pursuing ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent (part-qualified).
- Previous experience in a similar role within management accounting or finance.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software (e.g., Excel, Sage, SAP, or other ERP systems).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
