Excellent opportunity for a Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership for the facility.

The candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert in a technical, engineering, automation, or business process area. This role involves working closely with the site management team to develop and deliver the site's future strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to and providing input into the engineering functional strategy.
  • Supporting CMMs on the production floor when required.
  • Championing operational excellence across the site.
  • Planning and conducting engineering research and design.
  • Leading significant engineering and lean initiatives.
  • Standardizing and optimizing best practices and procedures across the network.
  • Coordinating with vendors and senior managers to meet cost, time, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicating with business partners to resolve process and product issues.
  • Evaluating project results and providing manufacturing guidance.
  • Providing technical leadership to staff engineers, senior engineers, engineers, technicians, and operators.
  • Championing lean methodologies from an operations engineering perspective.
  • Partnering with the CI&A team.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Master's in relevant engineering or science discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' manufacturing experience.
  • Metrology experience, ideally with Mitutoyo & Zeiss CMMs.
  • Knowledge of laser engraving machines.
  • Recognized Lean qualification, ideally a Black Belt.
  • Proven project management skills through delivering critical projects.
  • Experience in troubleshooting production processes.
  • Hands-on, responsible, and dynamic individual.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with stakeholders.
  • Capable of leading multidisciplinary teams in a regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead significant projects and initiatives.
  • Flexible team player.
  • Technologically savvy, willing to explore and implement new advances.
  • Confident decision-maker with proven technical leadership and negotiation skills.
