Job Description

Position Title: Plumber Maintenance

Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Position Location: U.S Army Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Dublin, CA

Workdays/Time: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, occasional evenings/weekends

Hourly Wage: $38.96 per hour based on experience, plus benefits

Qualifications:
  • Must have a disability documented in writing by a licensed physician in California or a certification from a California State rehabilitation agency.
  • Must pass a government security clearance and criminal background checks; must possess a valid California Driver's License.
  • Must possess a valid Plumbing License, have graduated from Technical School or an apprentice program, and have knowledge in computer operations and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 3-5 years of practical journeyman experience with commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including experience with mixing valves, bathroom fixtures, copper pipes, backflow systems, cast-iron piping, brazing, soldering, and chemical/water treatment.
  • Strong knowledge of current plumbing codes and tools such as augers, snaking, and jetting machines.
  • Ability to perform duties requiring moderate physical strength, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders.
Duties:
  • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing work orders, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair water, gas, sewage, and oil systems.
  • Install, modify, and repair utility, plumbing supply, and disposal systems.
  • Read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and sketches for system layout.
  • Locate and tap main lines, set up system routes, and install valves, traps, and unions.
  • Test and repair backflow systems and perform preventative maintenance on utility systems.
  • Repair existing utility systems and maintain documentation and reports related to work orders and inspections.
  • Supervise and provide oversight to laborers or maintenance workers performing routine and preventative tasks.
