Position

Location – Leinster, Ireland. Base in our Collinstown office, Kildare, with site visits to ongoing projects in the Leinster region.

Job Description

As a Junior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in our project development and implementation process. You will work closely with the Planning Manager and Project Planning Leads as well as a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver projects.

Job Responsibilities
  • Update the project schedule using Primavera P6.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance using EVA (Earned Value Analysis) to identify potential issues and risks.
  • Create/update progress reports for senior management teams.
  • Create/update short-term look ahead schedules to help plan project works.
  • Record evidence of delays and coordinate delay notifications to be issued to the team.
  • Make modifications to the programme as required.
  • Maintenance of the construction schedule.
  • Track planned versus actual progress on a weekly basis.
  • Work with the construction team to capture and log any issues affecting progress.
  • Attend internal and client meetings where required.
  • Monitor original versus actual budgets for scope growth/changes.
  • Ensure all progress is captured in updates on the system.
  • Assist in production/coordination of weekly construction reports.

This role provides exposure to a wide range of expertise relating to Pharmaceutical, healthcare, construction, and other sectors. The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills as responsibilities grow and evolve.

Skills and Requirements
  • Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years' post-qualification experience in an M&E contracting environment.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office systems; Primavera P6 desirable.
  • Demonstrated appetite for continuous learning and personal development.
