Purpose Of The Role

  • To ensure that all produce being delivered to the company and all produce being dispatched is in accordance with the customer specification / procedures
  • To promote knowledge of quality for the product/produce range
  • To Promote good working ethos
  • To promote Good Manufacturing and Health and Safety Practices

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all produce is inspected as outlined below, and meets the customer specifications /RM Spec.
  • On arrival (intake)
  • In Storage (OOR/ Reinspection)
  • When the product is being packed (in process) and
  • When the product is being dispatched * Shelf Life Inspections
  • Completion of inspection quality records as required and in accordance with procedures.
  • Conduct destructive testing where applicable and record the results to make sure all product meet customer specifications (Pressure, Brix) and highlight any Quarantine product
  • Carrying out routine inspections according to documented Inspection & test procedures.
  • Working with the team in intake and the Packhouse to ensure that all product is packed in accordance with procedures and to customer specifications
  • Meet the KPIs set up by the QA manager (performances, accuracy of inspection / report, productivity, Zero EPW, reduction of customer rejections, ….)
  • To actively promote and adhere to health and safety protocols and be responsible for your own safety and that of your colleagues. Contributing to a safe work environment to minimise hazards and incidents in the workplace.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Performance pallets/ lines checked a day.
  • Reduce customer rejections (QSL)
  • Conduct daily handover with accurate and appropriate information.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene.
  • Perform in a health and safety manner the daily tasks.
  • Avoid EPW
  • Completion of functional checks in a timely and efficient manner

Essential

Key Skills & Knowledge
  • I.T. skills and mathematic skills
  • Literate and numerate
  • Due to the nature of the work, must be physically fit
  • The person must be flexible with working hours
  • Must have an understanding of inspection methodology and test and inspection equipment
  • Must have good attendance record/ Good punctuality record/ Good disciplinary record
  • Attention to details
  • Good English essential

Desirable
  • Previous experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience in a fresh product environment is a distinct advantage
  • Multitasking
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and to lead by example

Salary: €32,000

Hours: 40 per week
