About the role

Through a range of approaches including innovative experiential learning and technical training, performance assessments, formalized mentoring, and exposure to senior leaders, our Early Career program offers unparalleled development opportunities for our diverse early career talent. AIG will be recruiting for 3 Underwriting Analysts to join our teams in Financial Lines, Casualty, and Property.
You Will:
- Underwrite within agreed decision-making standards, limitations, and underwriting authority;
- Handle mid-term adjustments within agreed authority;
- Resolve general queries in a timely manner and within agreed authority;
- Maintain and produce internal reports;
- Provide booking and accounts query support;
- Support the Underwriters on more complex and/or non-standard cases within agreed authority;
- Obtain additional UW information from brokers/clients as may be required on new business or renewal submissions;
- Produce documentation within company guidelines;
- Work to improve customer experience working within agreed internal/external Service Level Agreements;
- Comply with regulatory, risk management, compliance, and audit requirements;
- Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, claims, Operations.
What we are looking for:
AIG seeks candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about and committed to the insurance industry. The ideal candidates will be bold thinkers with an entrepreneurial bent and will possess a powerful blend of IQ (technical skills, consistent learning, statistical & financial acumen) and EQ (adaptive communication, empathy, listening skills, challenging with humility). We also look for a diverse background of experience, culture, and thought. Successful candidates typically have a global perspective and a record of successful teamwork.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 2.1 degree classification;
- Pursuant of a bachelor's or master's degree, graduated in 2024 or in 2025.
