Senior Consultant at Mason Alexander -Medtech ContractWe're recruiting a QC Technician to join a rapidly growing innovation focused medical device company in Dublin.
Job Purpose
- To complete receipt and all receiving inspections of raw materials and components in accordance with Quality Procedures and associated work instructions.
- To support trending of raw material and component yield, and the associated defect tracking for receiving inspection.
- Support the production of medical device components and products by carrying out assembly procedures.
- Share responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the manufacturing, receiving inspection and inventory environments.
- Additionally, the role will provide support and feedback to the engineering development team and Continuous Improvement projects, as well as role model compliance with GMP guidelines
Responsibilities
- Work in cleanroom and non-cleanroom ESD environments to inspect and manufacture medical device raw materials, components and products both with and without the use of microscopes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in associated procedures, equipment, inspections and general practices
- Liaise with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering and Manufacturing Departments to troubleshoot issues
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Maintenance and upkeep of manufacturing environments, tools and equipment.
- Keep inspection equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting issues and/or calling for repairs
- Identify opportunities for improvement in procedures, design and general practices, and aid in implementation
- Engage with the QMS to ensure delivery of the overall quality strategy & support the achievement of the business quality objectives
Education
- Leaving certificate is essential
- Certificate/Diploma in a related field is desirable (e.g. Certified Quality Technician ASQ)
Experience and Skills
- Cleanroom experience in medical device or related industry
- Inspection and/or manufacturing experience in a regulated environment
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Well organised with ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to self-start and take on responsibility
