The Irish Institute of Music and Song (IIMS) is excited to announce the launch of our new national initiative, and we are looking for passionate, skilled music educators to be part of our growing panel. Our mission is to inspire musical talent, enrich communities, and provide high-quality education and performance opportunities across Ireland.

We are seeking educators to join our Schools Partnership Programme, working directly within schools in your local area. While our headquarters is based in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, this role offers the unique opportunity to work across schools nationwide, bringing music education to students in your region. Educators will primarily teach in full-class settings, fostering long-lasting relationships with both students and the schools they serve.

As part of our network, you'll have the chance to collaborate with other music educators and deliver engaging programmes in your area of expertise, all while contributing to the cultural and musical development of communities.

We are currently seeking educators in the following areas:

  1. Ukulele
  2. Bodhrán
  3. Percussion
  4. Recorder
  5. Tin Whistle
  6. Choral
  7. Foundation Music

What We're Looking For:

  1. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with some full-class teaching experience.
  2. A passion for music and education, with a commitment to fostering creativity and cultural enrichment.
  3. A full driving licence, as the role involves travel to schools in your area.
