Job Description:The opportunity
In EY, we are looking to expand and develop our Supply Chain & Operations Consulting practice to meet market demand in a number of areas:
- Procurement Transformation
- Digital Manufacturing Excellence
- Development of Supply Chain Strategy and Operating Models
- Supply Chain Process Optimisation and Performance Improvement
- Sustainable Supply Chain Development
Within EY's Procurement Transformation team, we enable clients to maximise value from their third party spend and supplier relationships. We help clients solve commercial & procurement challenges from defining the strategy for sourcing through to managing the effective and efficient delivery of complex tenders and commercial solutions.
In addition to delivery on client engagements, as a Manager you will build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and support the development of a portfolio of business by focusing on high impact opportunities. You will support complex programmes and be expected to support market growth initiatives to help position EY's brand in the market. You will develop innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and support the development of market leading thought leadership.

As a Senior Manager in Supply Chain, you will:
- Have a track record of supporting supply chain work in the marketplace, underpinned with a strong, trusted network
- Have experience in managing and motivating a team of cross-functional experts of different levels
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in your functional area of procurement.
- Experience in delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement projects across all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new processes and uncover new offerings that may assist the current customer base.
- Tactical and process-oriented problem-solving.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
- Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
- Responsible for leading client projects, from developing their procurement strategy to contract signing stage
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services. Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process.
- Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to serve clients.
- Experience in using digital technology to enhance end-to-end supply chain performance.
- Contribute to the wider Business Consulting community including people and operational initiatives.
- Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training new team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for junior level staff.
- Maintain a learning & development program to continually develop personal skills.
- Act as a role model for EY values, integrity and professional ethics.
- Understand, follow and communicate workplace policies and procedures to all levels of staff.
To qualify for the role, you must have knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas:
- A minimum of 10+ years Procurement / Supply Chain experience, ideally with some consulting and / or project management experience.
- Hold a third-level qualification, preferably in procurement and supply chain, construction, business or science/healthcare or equivalent.
- Procurement strategy, deep knowledge of Procurement process and process design/optimisation, operating model design delivery and identifying and delivering enabling technology.
- Procurement transformation and benefits case realisation using digital technologies and data.
- Sustainability-driven solutions – including Supplier and Sub Tier Risk Management, mapping and measurement of organisations.
- Procurement processes including Source to Contract, Purchase to Pay and invoice processing.
- Knowledge of current software Industry leading Procurement solutions and their capabilities
- eCommerce and Omnichannel solution design and implementation – including experience with Order Management.
- Ability to identify business issues, develop innovative and compelling solutions, and convert these into client proposals.
- Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and resilience – being able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.
- Manufacturing Procurement transformation enabled by IOT, data and digitalisation.
- Have a strong track record of working with or leading and developing diverse teams.
