QA Specialist & Responsible Person – 12-Month FTC (Hybrid, Ireland)

An expanding consultancy within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector is seeking a QA Specialist & Responsible Person (RP) to join their growing Quality function. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of clients while ensuring high standards of compliance and distribution oversight.

Location: Hybrid (Ireland-based) with remote flexibility and on-site client engagement

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. in Life Sciences or related discipline
  • 5+ years' Quality/GDP compliance experience, with at least 1 year as a named RP on a WDA
  • Strong knowledge of EU GDP guidelines, GMP, and ISO 9001
  • Experience managing CAPAs, deviations, change controls, and supplier audits
  • Familiarity with EQMS implementation desirable
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities

Quality Assurance:

  • Manage and enhance the internal QMS in line with ISO 9001, GMP, and GDP requirements
  • Oversee supplier qualification, quality complaints, CAPAs, and non-conformances
  • Conduct internal audits/self-inspections and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections
  • Support quality KPIs and improvement initiatives

Responsible Person (RP):

  • Act as the named RP under WDA for designated client accounts
  • Ensure compliance with EU GDP across storage, transport, and distribution
  • Maintain oversight of supplier/customer bona fides
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory authorities (e.g. HPRA, MHRA)
  • Lead management reviews and inspection readiness
  • Mentor junior quality professionals and deputy RPs
