Summary

As a QC Microbiology Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our Bulk Drug Facility in Dublin through a range of microbiological testing activities. You'll be responsible for maintaining high quality and regulatory standards while ensuring timely execution of environmental monitoring and product testing. This is a hands-on laboratory role offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic biopharmaceutical environment.

Job Duties
  • Perform environmental and facilities monitoring, including sampling and testing.
  • Carry out microbiological testing to support release and stability programs (e.g., bioburden, endotoxin, TOC, growth promotion).
  • Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with cGMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized laboratory environment.
  • Lead and contribute to project initiatives to improve laboratory operations and efficiency.
  • Communicate lab issues to management and collaborate on timely resolutions.
  • Investigate out-of-specification/limit results using root cause analysis tools and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the training and mentoring of laboratory personnel and contribute to training program development.

You are an analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and a passion for quality. You work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You're solution-oriented and proactive, with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Where You Come From
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a cGMP quality environment.
  • Hands-on experience with microbiological testing in sterile or non-sterile pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical settings.
  • Solid understanding of current regulatory requirements for microbiology and sterility assurance in a cGMP context.
  • Degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
  • Physically capable of performing lab-based duties (e.g., lifting, working with biological materials, wearing PPE).
