Reports To: CEO

We are excited to exclusively partner with our prestigious client, a highly successful company with ambitious growth plans for the next five years. As part of their continued development, they are seeking a Finance Director to join their leadership team and play a key role in driving the company's financial strategy and performance. This is a newly created role with the potential to grow into a board appointment over time, offering an exciting career opportunity for the right individual.

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading player in their industry, known for their excellence and commitment to delivering outstanding results. With a clear and dynamic five-year growth plan, they are now looking for an experienced and ambitious Finance Director to join them at an exciting stage of their journey. This is an outstanding opportunity to have a direct impact on the company's future while also developing your own career to the next level.

The Role

As Finance Director, you will take full responsibility for managing the financial operations of the business, leading financial strategy, and supporting the company's leadership team with financial insights and recommendations. You will play a pivotal role in helping to deliver the business's long-term objectives, driving sustainable growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's five-year growth plan, supporting the company's expansion and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Provide detailed analysis to guide decision-making.
  • Cash Flow & Budgeting: Manage cash flow and working capital, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial stability and support business growth.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights, identifying opportunities for profit growth, operational improvements, and strategic investments.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial and operational risks, recommending and implementing strategies to mitigate them while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Drive improvements in financial processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support the company's growth ambitions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present financial reports for the board of directors and key stakeholders, ensuring clear and actionable financial insights.
Who We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a Finance Director who is still on their career trajectory, rather than at the peak of their career. Ideal candidates will have strong financial experience and are eager to take on a high-profile role in a fast-growing company. Candidates with experience in construction or building products industries will be highly regarded, but we are open to hearing from all strong candidates with relevant experience.

Key Skills and Experience
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Solid Experience of leading a finance function in Ireland.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally in a growing or changing business.
  • Strong background in financial management, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Solid understanding of strategic financial planning and its role in supporting business growth.
  • Experience leading and developing a finance team.
  • Familiarity with the construction or building products sectors would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to drive change.
  • Ambitious, with a strong desire to grow within a forward-thinking organisation.
Why This Role is a Great Opportunity
  • Exclusive Opportunity: You'll be joining a high-performing company with a clear vision for growth and development.
  • Career Growth: This newly created role offers the potential for rapid career progression, with the possibility of a future board appointment.
  • Dynamic Environment: You'll be working alongside an ambitious leadership team in a business that thrives on innovation and high performance.
  • Attractive Package: Competitive salary and benefits, reflecting the strategic importance of the role.
