To ensure that we have the right structures in place to support the achievement of our goals we are currently recruiting for a new and exciting role of Financial Systems Executive to join our Accounts team.

This is a new role assisting the Financial Systems Manager with the continuing development and improvement of the financial reporting and processing systems ensuring that timely and accurate information is available to partners, clients, finance personnel and other stakeholders when required.

The Financial Systems Executive will have responsibility for:

  • Assist with implementation of and upgrades to various financial systems
  • Investigation and resolution of financial systems related queries
  • Collaborate with IT to resolve issues arising within the financial management system (Aderant) and related financial applications
  • Daily validation checks
  • Prepare and submit VAT Returns including annual Return of Trading Details
  • Prepare and submit the quarterly VIES Return
  • Prepare and submit the annual Third-Party Returns
  • Process and import certain charges into the financial system each month
  • Ad hoc reporting requests including development of new reports

Requirements:

  • Third level degree in a relevant subject
  • 2 years' relevant experience working with financial systems
  • Prior exposure to legal or professional service financial management system preferred
  • Knowledge of reporting tools (Excel, SSRS, T-SQL) a plus
  • Experience in professional services sector an advantage
  • Ability to identify, analyse and resolve issues
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong communication, organisational, numerical and analytical skills
