The Group:

Our Custom Silicon & Consumer Solutions (CSS) team leads in sensing, signal processing, and power solutions, including Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization, Optical Sensing, Audio, and PMIC developments, driving growth in our portable Consumer business.

The Business:

Our CSS business provides high-volume consumer silicon solutions, enabling precise human interpretation and sensory assistance. We are expanding our power team to support highly integrated power solutions and PMICs, offering excellent career development opportunities within a motivated global engineering team.

The Position: We seek a PRINCIPAL DESIGNER, LAYOUT for our European CSS Layout Team. The candidate should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and effective in a collaborative, multi-location environment. The role involves working with Analog, Digital, Mixed-Signal CMOS designers, Mask Layout designers, and others on state-of-the-art PMIC development, including but not limited to:

• LDO, BUCK, BOOST, BUCK-BOOST, CHARGE-PUMP, SIMO, IBB
• Oscillators, PLL, Bandgap, References, ADC, DAC, I/O

Responsibilities:

• Lead chip layout, coordinate project execution, manage resources, and interface with customers and teams to ensure milestones and tapeouts are met.
• Execute top-level integration of large-scale mixed-signal and PMIC chips, manage digital and analog IP integration, and verify with proper documentation.
• Develop IP mask layouts, collaborate with IP designers, and oversee layout of sub-blocks, including scheduling and verification.
• Support team development through mentorship, recruitment, and fostering continuous learning; assist in project management and planning.
• Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso, VXL, Mentor Graphics Calibre, floorplanning, and top-down methodologies is required.
• Experience with LVS/DRC/ERC, layout practices, ESD circuit design, and scripting (PERL, SKILL) is highly desirable.

Key Qualifications:

• BSc/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• 15+ years in IC Layout
• Scripting skills in PERL, SKILL, or AMPLE are advantageous
• Strong team player with experience in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural, multi-site environments
