Team Introduction:

The Tax team works with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax (sales and use tax and property tax) and solve tax related issues.

The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. Position Summary:

We are looking for a tax expert to support our rapidly growing E-commerce business in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Poland and other EEA member states. In this role, you will provide expert tax solutions for business plans, and translate complex tax ideas into clear action points. You will work seamlessly with E-commerce teams and cross-functional partners around the globe. The ideal candidate should have a good mix of tax knowledge and extensive experience advising E-commerce platforms and E-commerce fulfillment business.

1. Business Model Analysis and Tax Assessment: Proficient in analyzing various business models to identify tax implications and potential areas for assessment.
2. Collaboration and Coordination: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with in-house tax teams and external resources to devise actionable tax solutions tailored to new e-commerce products, features, and operational events.
3. Tax Query Handling: Skilled in serving as the primary point of contact for tax queries from business teams, promptly addressing inquiries and providing comprehensive responses.
4. Tax Solution Review and Improvement: Proven track record of conducting periodic reviews of existing tax solutions, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and implementing improvements to optimize tax strategies.
5. Tax Legislation Monitoring: Keen understanding of tax legislation with a focus on monitoring changes and updates. Capable of assessing potential impacts on business operations and proactively preparing teams to navigate forthcoming challenges.
6. Tax Compliance Training: Strong facilitation skills in providing training and support to business teams, ensuring understanding and compliance with tax requirements through tailored educational sessions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong tax advisory experience covering EEA, with focus on indirect taxes, including in-house experience.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to set appropriate priorities while multitasking and deliver to a high standard at pace.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-house experience, preferably at an E-commerce or digital marketplace company, or Big 4 firm experience.
