Please note that this is a pharmaceutical site, so prior experience in a similar regulated environment is essential.

Location: Dungarvan, Co Waterford

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of Health & safety, including the development of risk assessments.
  • Review learning curriculums for all onsite staff.
  • Train all staff on Lone working devices and other client EHS procedures requiring face-to-face training.
  • Coordinate site inductions for new employees and external training bookings.
  • Update safety statistics, compile reports/presentations, and monitor compliance.
  • Review all permits completed for onsite work operations.
  • Carry out investigations and complete reports in accordance with onsite SOPs.
  • Respond to subcontractor/client information requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Log accidents, incidents, and near misses; manage corrective action processes and documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections of lifting equipment.
  • Organise required inspections for various facility operations (including inductions, RAMS, permits to work, communication with equipment owners, and access).
  • Manage on-site registers.
  • Review, update, and create PMs as required.
  • Support managers in delivering site-specific training and toolbox talks.
  • Communicate updates regarding safety legislation and learnings from past incidents.
Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ year in administrative or H&S role (desirable).
  • H&S certification is a plus.
  • Confidence to lead training sessions and safety inductions.
  • Calm and clear communication when logging and responding to safety incidents.
  • Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders—contractors, external bodies.
