Cloud Migration Engineer – Dublin – Hybrid Remote

Our client, a Financial Services Multinational, has engaged with IT Search to speak to Cloud Migration specialists to help execute their on-prem to cloud strategy. They are a well-established and highly successful firm going through a modernization process.

The role is to work with Senior Cloud Architects and CTO to manage various concurrent migration processes to both GCP and Azure, involving a mix of hands-on development, engineering, network management, alongside vendor management, internal documentation, and monitoring.

Role:
  1. Adapt and execute existing migration strategies
  2. Take architecture and scripting to migrate from IaC methodologies to landing zones to virtual machines, ensuring a high attention to security and compliance issues at all points
  3. Adapt legacy products to refactor for cloud migrations to go live
  4. Mentor DevOps team on best practices
Requirements:
  1. 10+ years of commercial experience, ideally with deep knowledge of development processes
  2. Experience in either Azure or GCP migrations from on-prem product ranges and related areas
  3. Exposure to Financial Services is a benefit (PCI/DSS Compliance ideally but not necessarily)
  4. Exceptional communication skills
  5. Deep Terraform knowledge required
  6. Experience with Rackspace and OCI advantageous
