We're working with a well-established Contractor in their search for a skilled Site Engineer to join an upcoming project in Kilkenny .

As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of this €4m refurbishment project in Kilkenny. Working closely with the project/site management team and business leaders, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site using the latest surveying equipment.
  • Monitoring and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to the site team on engineering matters.
  • Maintaining accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, daily diaries, and as-built drawings.
  • Implementing and enforcing health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  • Resolving any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project.
  • Liaising with the client, consultants, and other project stakeholders to address any concerns or queries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on construction projects over €1m
  • Proficiency in the use of surveying instruments and software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
