Barden are partnering with a world renowned Renewable Energy Business as they seek an Asset Support Engineer for a pivotal role where you'll support the end-to-end delivery of renewable energy projects from an Operational and Service perspective. You'll work closely with internal teams and contractors from the financial investment decision stage through to operational handover—ensuring excellence every step of the way. You'll be part of a collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking team that manages the technical infrastructure behind our renewable energy operations. We're committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

As Asset Support Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the development and review of tender documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
  • Evaluate and compare tender submissions, offering recommendations based on technical, commercial, and contractual insights.
  • Negotiate service contracts that optimise value while fostering strong supplier relationships.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for contractual queries, providing expert guidance across departments.
  • Support project-level asset management activities to ensure operational readiness and excellence.
  • Take ownership of tasks with a practical, value-driven mindset and a proactive approach.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a relevant third-level qualification in engineering, data science, or a technical discipline—or has equivalent experience.
  • Brings extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, ideally in operations or contracting.
  • Has strong commercial awareness and the ability to apply technical insights to support sound decision-making.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational and analytical skills, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Thrives in dynamic environments, managing multiple priorities with a flexible, proactive approach.
  • Possesses a full, valid driving licence.
