Renal Dialysis Staff Nurse

We are currently seeking energetic and enthusiastic Staff Nurses to join our team at the B.Braun Wellstone Clinic. The successful candidates will work as part of the Dialysis Team, taking personal responsibility to ensure policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Irish National Nursing Council (INNC) guidelines.

Position Details
  • Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Location: B.Braun Wellstone Clinic, Wexford, Ireland
Skills & Experience
  • Registered Nurse with current INMB PIN to practice
  • Ideally 2-3 years nursing experience; renal experience is advantageous
  • Completion of training in clinical skills such as IV drug administration, cannulation, and venipuncture
  • Ability to critically appraise and use research to improve patient care
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to build rapport with patients, relatives, visitors, and colleagues
  • Skills in managing difficult situations involving patients or staff
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in verbal and written reporting, including computer documentation
  • Teaching and presentation skills for mentoring students and promoting learning
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of evidence-based nursing care
  • Perform planned patient care independently, following policies and procedures
  • Report significant changes in patient conditions to the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide health education, support, and advice to patients, referring to specialists as needed
  • Assist patients with transportation when necessary
  • Ensure respectful, courteous, and confidential care at all times
  • Create a safe and therapeutic environment for all
  • Maintain readiness of equipment and supplies
  • Report incidents and complete documentation according to procedures
  • Assess and manage manual handling needs of patients
