Job Description

IPS is a pioneer in the application of single-source, integrated EPCMV for technically complex facilities. We have developed, implemented, and refined a lean integrated project delivery model that addresses the entire project life cycle. We are looking for a talented Project Planner /Scheduler II to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.

In this role, you'll develop, monitor, and update project Plans & Schedules encompassing the entire engineering, procurement, construction, and qualification (EPCMV) life cycle. You will facilitate /participate in project scheduling meetings as well as Pull /Phase/ Takt/ Interactive planning sessions as required to develop, refine, and progress project plans.

What you will do:

  • You will analyze schedule input from project partners including clients, internal teams, vendors, and contractors to verify schedule durations and integrity as well as evaluate logic and float paths.
  • Integrate data into an overall master schedule.
  • Ensure the credibility of the information in the master schedule and make recommendations to manage float and (re)sequence activities to achieve project milestone /target dates.
  • Collaborate with estimating & cost control to resource /cost load schedules as required, as well as with the team to support constructability and value engineering.
  • Evaluate schedule risk & perform analysis (Monte Carlo Simulation, etc.) as required. You'll baseline schedules and document basis for approval.
  • Monitor schedule progress, deviations, and variances and assess impacts on the critical/near-critical path activities. You will assist in developing alternatives for corrective action.
  • Will perform job site walks to verify the physical progress of scheduled activities and analyze change orders for schedule impacts. You'll continually progress & review schedules with the project team to ensure accurate and timely
  • Data is incorporated and forecasted. You'll prepare schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis, as well as maintain a record of scope changes, trends, and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.
  • At the project completion, you'll develop and record the project's historical schedule information and "lessons learned" for future use.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • BS degree in engineering, construction management, or related field or have applicable experience.
  • 10+ years of experience as a planner/scheduler on facilities capital projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, and qualification (EPCMV) processes.
  • Experience in the Pharma /Biotech Industry.
  • Understanding of engineering, construction methodologies, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to generate earned value, SPI, CPI, and other schedule performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of modern planning and scheduling principles, methodologies, techniques, and tools including CPM, Last Planner, 4D, etc.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 Planner, Microsoft Project & Office Suite programs.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage large amounts of information to effectively meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of vPlanner, BIM 360, and other visual & collborative planning tools.
  • PMI or AACEI certification.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, displaying creativity and innovation by continually working to improve solutions, tools, methods, and service delivery systems.
