Sisk Drace is seeking an Industrial Electrician at the Shanganagh/Bray Wastewater Treatment Works in Shankill, Co. Dublin, under the SD Operations & Maintenance Joint Venture (SD O&M JV). The joint venture, comprising John Sisk & Son and DRACE Infrastructures, has been involved in the design, delivery, and operation of the wastewater treatment facility since 2006.

The successful candidate will have experience in MCC's, PLC's, 3 phase power, electric motors, VSD's, LVGC, Generators, instrumentation, sensors, HMI's- Scada.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all electrical permitting and participate in the production of Risk Assessment and Method Statements and Process Impact Plans
  2. Engage with management and maintenance team in work planning and plant improvement.
  3. Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and engage with and help develop on the existing maintenance system
  4. Provide effective fault-finding support to commissioning engineers during the commissioning stage of a project
  5. Read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics and document all self-created changes.
  6. Adhere to Safety Health & Environmental policies and procedures and carry out all tasks in a safe and controlled manner.
  7. Recommend electrical installation ideas and improvements
  8. Carry out and supervise site electrical installations where required
  9. Review sub-contractor electrical installations and prepare snag lists
  10. Prepare and complete Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Test Records (ITRs) before and during installations
  11. Carry out electrical testing and record results
  12. Undertake manual works such as cable pulling and installation of cable containment
  13. Have working knowledge of instrumentation, such as flowmeter, ultrasonics, water quality measurement monitors, automatic sampling systems etc.
  14. Ability to supervise the work of electrical apprentices
  15. Undertake Thermal Imaging tests and report findings with recommendations
Requirements:
  1. FETAC Level 6 Electrical Craft
  2. City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Inspection and Testing / Installation
  3. 3+ years industry experience (Water/Wastewater Industry preferred).
  4. Well organised, have attention to detail, work on their own initiative and be proactive
  5. CompeEX trained beneficial
  6. Confined space trained beneficial.
  7. Experience in MCC's, PLC's, 3 phase power, electric motors, VSD's, LVGC, Generators, instrumentation, sensors, HMI's- Scada.
