The Opportunity

Join our Building Engineering team in Dublin and contribute to impactful projects across Ireland and Europe. This role provides an excellent opportunity for career development and the chance to work on cutting-edge structural engineering projects.

As a Senior Structural Engineer at Arup, you will:

  1. Lead and manage structural engineering design teams, delivering projects from concept to construction.
  2. Coordinate with multidisciplinary design partners, ensuring seamless integration of structural designs.
  3. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
  4. Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, and specifications, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  5. Represent Arup at client meetings, offering expert advice and developing innovative solutions.
  6. Champion sustainable design practices, contributing to a more resilient built environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient individual with a passion for structural engineering and a commitment to sustainable design. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:

  1. Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) with a proven track record in delivering complex structural engineering projects.
  2. Minimum 7 years of post-graduate experience in structural design.
  3. Strong technical skills and experience in all aspects of building structures, from conceptual design to construction.
  4. Excellent communication and report writing skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  5. Proficiency in relevant design software packages.
