As we prepare to open The Mercantile Hotel in the heart of Dublin City, we are looking for a dedicated and proactive Kitchen Porters to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen and stock operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with receiving and processing kitchen deliveries, ensuring correct storage and distribution to designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and storerooms at all times.
  • Support with stock rotation and ensure all food items are stored correctly, reducing waste.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock reporting as required.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure food preparation areas are well stocked and ready for service.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained to high standards.
  • Assist with food and beverage stocktakes when required.
  • Ensure all deliveries are checked and signed for, and that the necessary documentation is completed.
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment (previous KP or stock management experience is advantageous).
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Be willing to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a team.
  • Be flexible and available to work varied shifts, including weekends if needed.
  • Be eligible to work full-time in Ireland; visa status will be verified before the interview process.
