Specialist provider of accounting & insurance professionals in Ireland

We have partnered with a major wealth manager that are now seeking to add a Senior Compliance Officer that will develop and maintain the Compliance Management Framework to support business objectives and regulatory requirements.

This includes overseeing compliance policies, executing monitoring plans, and ensuring adherence to MiFID, AML, Financial Crime, and GDPR regulations.

Responsibilities

Compliance Oversight

  • Implement regulatory controls to ensure compliance with conduct obligations.
  • Execute an annual risk-based compliance assessment and monitoring plan.
  • Ensure timely, accurate regulatory reporting.
  • Deliver compliance training to employees.
  • Identify, mitigate, and review conflicts of interest.
  • Report compliance status to the Head of Compliance.

Data Protection

  • Monitor compliance with GDPR and global data privacy policies.
  • Maintain records of processing, breaches, and data subject rights requests.
  • Assess personal data breaches, recommend actions, and identify trends.
  • Engage with clients on data privacy compliance.
  • Support employees on data privacy and rights issues.
  • Provide data privacy compliance reports for governance.

Skills & Experience

  • Deep knowledge of MiFID II, GDPR, and CBI Regulations.
  • 5-8 years in a senior role within a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with MiFID or fund administrator operations.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and influencing skills.
  • Proven presentation and training abilities.
  • Ability to articulate compliance benefits and report risk to senior stakeholders.
