Qualified Practice Accountant

Our client, a reputable accountancy practice located in South Co. Wicklow, is seeking a Fully Qualified Practice Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position based at their busy office.
Compensation: €55,000 - €60,000 DOE
Working Hours: 37.5 hours across four days
Skills and Experience Required:- Full qualification in professional accounting exams (ACA / ACCA / CPA)
- 2-3 years of practice experience in Ireland
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Relate Software, and Surf Accounts
- Experience with statutory accounts and file preparation
- Knowledge of Corporation Tax and Income Tax
- Strong technical skills in accounts preparation, payroll, and VAT
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving attitude
- Preparing summaries for sales, purchases, cheque payments, and cash receipts
- Bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations
- Carrying out audit testing
- Drafting accounts
- Preparing tax returns including Income Tax, VAT, PAYE/PRSI, P35s, and corporation tax
- Processing payroll using Thesaurus and Surf Payroll
- Utilizing Relate, Sage, and QuickBooks
- Reviewing work of junior staff
- Supporting trainees' professional development
- Managing multiple assignments efficiently and following up on queries
- Collaborating across departments to ensure workflow efficiency
- Handling company secretarial tasks
- Performing ad hoc duties
- Enhancing client service and satisfaction
- Contributing to business development and process improvements
