The Cork team is working on a new and innovative cybersecurity solution and is looking for a Java cloud (AWS) backend principal engineer.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team of experienced, highly skilled engineers working in a creative and innovative environment.

What will you do?
  1. Take ownership on feature delivery from design through development and testing to full scale deployment.
  2. Lead by being a role model of engineering excellence delivering products in high quality and cadence.
  3. Collaborate to solve problems and overcome design challenges with team/scrum members and colleagues.
What experience or knowledge should you bring?
  1. BSc in Computer Science/ related field
  2. 10+ years of experience with Java server-side technologies
  3. 4+ years of experience with AWS technologies
  4. Experience as an architect/tech lead.
  5. Proven experience in designing and managing (owning) Data related infrastructure (Data lakes, ETL pipelines, etc.)
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of design and implementation of large-scale distributed systems
  7. Experience with big data databases e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB or Elasticsearch.
  8. Experience with relational databases e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL
Advantage:
  1. Experience with one of the following technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.
  2. Experience in Security.
  3. Experience in Python
