Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our client's thriving convenience store in Offaly. As the Assistant Store Manager , you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, managing staff, overseeing inventory, and ensuring the smooth running of the store.

Responsibilities:

  • Be actively involved of day to day running of a store
  • Manage a team and assist the Store Manager
  • To achieve sales targets as agreed with management
  • To achieve a strong gross profit margin
  • To ensure your management team are effective, organised and achieving success
  • Merchandising skills to upsell
  • Mentor, and lead by example

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a retail management role, preferably within the grocery sector
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering a positive experience
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
