Flexsource is currently recruiting Production Operatives for our client based in Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow.

KEY RESULT AREAS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Adhere to the weekly production schedule and build the order quantity specified on the production Works Order for each production build. Ensure customer orders are fulfilled and stock levels of finished goods are managed cost-effectively.
  2. Communicate effectively with the area supervisor and other personnel in the production department to resolve issues promptly and ensure proper staffing.
  3. Maintain a clean working area on the production floor and participate in lean/5S initiatives.
  4. Comply with company standard operating procedures, policies, and quality systems within the production area.
  5. Produce products in accordance with quality systems and BOM.
  6. Follow Health and Safety requirements, liaise with the Health and Safety representative or Area Supervisor regarding concerns, and participate in risk assessments and SOP formulation as needed.
  7. Adapt to and meet the levels required within all areas of the production training profiles, be flexible, and participate in job rotation. Support and guide new staff when necessary.
  8. Attend relevant communication meetings to stay informed about issues within the production area and the business.
  9. Report production activities, machine problems, and quality concerns accurately and promptly to your supervisor.
  10. Use tools and equipment responsibly and appropriately.
  11. Work as part of an assembly line team, performing repetitive tasks accurately.
  12. Possess strong hand-eye coordination and operate various assembly tools.
  13. Ensure correct assembly, minimizing time, material, and wastage.
  14. Be flexible to work in other departments or roles as required by customer demand. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.

EHS considerations for this role include:

  1. Riveting
  2. Wheel press
  3. Assembly (manual and power-driven)
  4. Nuttling operation
  5. Tapping operation
  6. Rubber cutting operation

Minimal lifting/manual handling activities are performed within individual capabilities. Lifting equipment is provided, and staff are trained in manual handling techniques regularly. Adequate lighting, ergonomic seating, and footrests are provided to ensure good ergonomics.
