Base pay range

Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can keep things moving and deliver when it matters most? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as an HGV Driver - 45 hour week (in line with current driver legislation)

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Drive Heavy Goods Vehicle from depot to loading/unloading point in accordance with the delivery schedule
  • Delivering chill, produce and ambient products to all our customers' premises
  • Accurately recording all activities in line with legislation and company requirements
  • Ensuring all delivery notes are signed upon delivery
  • Adhere to road transport regulations
  • Working within the remits of the European Drivers Hours regulations
  • Working within the remits of the Working Time Directive
  • Ensuring all loads are strapped down adequately
  • Checking tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water and fuel levels and general condition of the vehicle
  • Agree delivery schedule and route with transport management
  • Assist with loading/unloading and ensures that load is evenly distributed and safely secured
  • Maintains records of journey times, mileage and hours worked via Tachograph
  • Undertake minor repairs and notifies supervisor of any mechanical faults

About You
  • Full HGV Class 1 Licence
  • Valid Taco Card
  • Valid CPC Card
  • Must be 25 years+
  • Good English verbal and written skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
