Overview

Pharmacy Technician - Lucan Shopping Centre

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense prescriptions in a professional manner.
  • Prescription control and paperwork.
  • Preparation of Monitored Dosage Systems and monthly claims for submission to the HSE PCRS.
  • Advise and assist customers with over-the-counter products.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service and engage actively with customers.
  • Dispenser stock management including expiry date checking and ethical ordering.
  • Proactive personal development and involvement in other projects and duties as they arise.
In conjunction with the Pharmacy Manager
  • Ordering and accepting stock and keeping the stockroom up to required standards.
  • Ensure inter-branch transfers are carried out according to the correct procedure.
  • Implement planograms in accordance with guidelines.

Essential Criteria
  • IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is essential.
  • Strong English reading, writing and spoken communication skills.
Beneficial Criteria
  • Experience in high-volume dispensing and customer service environments.
  • Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience with Touchstore and Arc Claim Management Function.
  • Knowledge of community drug schemes and the HSE PCRS claims process.
