We have an excellent job opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer to set up and lead our Civil Engineering team in Johnstown, Naas.

The team will provide Civil & Electrical design services to clients within the Electrical & Renewable Engineering sector, including Substations, Solar Park, Wind, and Battery Storage.

Your Blueprint for Success
  • Client-facing position
  • Train and mentor Graduate Design Engineers, overseeing their work, and checking their calculations.
  • Lead project design from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with brilliant engineers and project teams
  • Liaise with clients and local authorities on the project.
Qualifications & Experience
  • BSc/MSc in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent with postgraduate design experience with an engineering consultancy.
  • Building structure design experience using all main materials on a variety of structural projects, with particular emphasis on Electrical Infrastructure, Transformer bunds, Foundations for Electrical Switchgear, New and Existing Substation Buildings, Drainage.
  • Highly motivated engineer with previous consultancy experience.
  • Experience in Eurocodes essential.
  • Knowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC frames, flat slabs, etc. (Tekla, SCIA, etc).
  • Proficiency in Civil Design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Level 8 degree in a relevant field (level 9 is advantageous).
  • Chartered status preferred.
  • 6+ years relevant experience.
