About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team, specifically focused on supporting meetings and events. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all food and beverage services for our valued guests.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide efficient, prompt, and courteous service.
  2. Serve restaurant guests their orders promptly and courteously.
  3. Accurately record guest orders and serve food and beverage orders.
  4. Check periodically with guests to see if they would like anything else.
  5. Process guest checks accurately.
  6. Handle compliments and complaints, reporting them to the manager or supervisor.
  7. Arrange furniture in the restaurant area as needed.
  8. Ensure that the work area and station are stocked with supplies and kept clean and tidy.
  9. Ensure all service items and consumables meet quality standards.
  10. Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, wine, and beer list to advise guests and promote sales.
  11. Upsell professionally and courteously to increase sales.
  12. Assist restaurant supervisors and management in daily operations.
  13. Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager on set-ups and reservations.
  14. Comply with alcohol and liquor policies and regulations.
Additional Duties:
  1. Stay updated on hotel activities by reviewing the communication log each shift and updating it for the next.
  2. Assist the Restaurant Manager as needed.
  3. Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
  4. Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  5. Maintain professionalism in all job functions.
Qualifications:
  1. At least 1 year of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel.
  2. Experience supporting meetings and events.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  5. Positive attitude and dedication to guest satisfaction.
  6. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
  8. Basic knowledge of food and beverage procedures is a plus.
