Overview

Senior Recruitment Consultant at Methodius Ltd. Dublin-based role for a Virtualisation Architect to join an expanding team in Dublin, Ireland. The Virtualisation Architect designs, develops, and implements enterprise-level IT infrastructure, focusing on virtualization technologies to support the bank's digital transformation and cloud strategy. They should have experience in virtualisation platforms, cloud computing security, networking and automation tools, with exposure to Citrix, AVD, and Dev Box in designing and supporting scalable virtual desktop solutions.

This role requires expertise in operating systems, networking, and virtualisation, along with strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams and present technical solutions to stakeholders to contribute to seamless digital experiences for customers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AVD, Windows 365 (W365), and Dev Box solutions.
  • Develop and implement automation for scaling and image updates.
  • Drive environment optimisation and security best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AV.
  • Configure FSLogix as profiling.
  • Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to support teams.
  • Draft high-level and low-level design documents and other project documents.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Solid experience with VDI technologies (AVD, Citrix, W365, Dev Box).
  • Hands-on design and implementation experience for AVD, W365, and Dev Box; experience with Prod and DR solutions.
  • Experience configuring/deploying FSLogix & infra in AVD; optimization and security features on host pools.
  • Experience with application modernization using MSIX App Attach and third-party tools.
  • Strong Azure services knowledge (AAD, AADS, RBAC, Storage/Policies/Backup, Firewall, UDR, File share, AVD Security, Azure Monitor).
  • Knowledge of Group Policy, Active Directory, and registry settings.
  • Experience with scripting and automation; good session host performance tuning and diagnostics.
  • Experience with Windows Client & Server OS; Microsoft Intune Endpoint Manager Administration & Architecture.
  • Knowledge of Intune compliance/configuration policies, Defender for Endpoint, Device Encryption Defender for 365 & Identity, Sentinel, Conditional Access; integrate other MS Cloud security features.
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of 3rd party tools (Nerdio, Hydra, Liquit); certifications such as CCP, AZ-140, AZ-104; exposure to DevOps automation (Terraform, Biceps).
  • Proven experience with automation and scripting.
