Position

Kitchen Porter
Rathdown School - Part time

What you'll do
  • Clean kitchen areas
  • Receive, check, and store deliveries following company guidelines
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy throughout the day
  • Dispose of waste properly in designated areas
  • Serve customers quickly and politely, providing good customer service
  • Complete basic admin tasks like food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and stock checks
  • Prepare food carefully, especially for special diets and allergies
  • Follow all food safety and health & safety policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Work well with colleagues and follow company policies
  • Report any issues or incidents promptly to management
  • Assist with school events, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Help with setup, service, and cleaning for catering functions
  • Carry out reasonable requests from management
  • Support other local units in emergencies
What you'll bring
  • Experience in hospitality or food service is a bonus, but we'll give you full training
  • Communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude
  • A focus on cleanliness and hygiene
  • A team-player, with willingness to help out
