Production Planner

Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate production of the company's manufactured products
  • Liaise with production supervisors to ensure schedule is suitable
  • Evaluate raw materials stock to ensure everything is in place for production
  • Pass on lead times and scheduled collection dates for orders to the sales/customer service team
  • Report on the status of scheduled production
  • Handle production disruptions and productivity problems
  • Use market forecasts to anticipate necessary production changes
  • Co-ordinate cycle counts and reconciling counts when necessary
Essential Criteria
  • BSc in Supply Chain, Production Planning or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role
  • At least 2 years' experience using an ERP/MRP system
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent team player and multi-tasker
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • A high level of attention to detail
Desirable Criteria
  • SAP experience
