Warehouse Operative role at Keelings

Purpose of the Role
Working in a Distribution Centre warehouse with three temperature zones: +3°C chill, +12°C ambient, and -25°C freezer. Operatives will assist with the smooth running of the distribution operation for one of Ireland's largest retailers. The role offers an hourly rate of €15.32 plus a 20% weekend premium.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Work within a fixed temperature environment and be responsible for accurate picking and assembly of products
  • Strive to meet and exceed minimum efficiency and accuracy levels
  • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including mechanical handling equipment and arm-mounted computers
  • Promote and adhere to health and safety protocols and take responsibility for personal safety and that of colleagues
  • Adhere strictly to depot stacking, role cage, pick-by-line, and wrapping procedures
  • Follow Goods-in offloading and Goods-out loading procedures
  • Promote Keeling's values through daily interactions
  • Perform other warehouse duties as required

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Flexibility to work hours, including weekends
  • Strong work ethic with keen attention to detail
  • Warehouse experience is desirable but not essential
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets
  • High level of dedication and commitment
  • Must have EU passport or work permit for full-time work (e.g., Stamp 1 or 4)

Working Hours / Shift Pattern

  • Chill shifts: 6am – 2pm, 7am – 3pm, 12pm – 8pm, 2pm – 10pm (night shift), 7:30pm – 6am
  • Freezer AM: 6am – 2pm or 08:00 – 16:00
  • Freezer PM: 2pm – 10pm (Mon – Fri)
  • Shifts operate 7 days a week on a one-week rotation
  • Due to freezer temperatures, operatives work in 1.5-hour blocks with a 30-minute warm-up break; specialist PPE (freezer suits) provided
