Native is the driving force for sustainability in the creative and cultural sector in Ireland. Our mission is multifaceted, focusing on consultancy, advocacy, and training for environmental and social action; serving as a creative agency and sustainable events production house; and providing infrastructure and equipment for environmentally responsible events and activations.

As the Programmes Manager Maternity Leave Cover at Native, you will oversee a range of interconnected programmes and projects, working closely with our Sustainability Coordinators to align their efforts with our strategic vision. This role involves seizing new opportunities, navigating challenges, leading selected strategic projects, and fostering sector-wide change. Reporting to the Directors, you will be an integral part of our core team, embodying our commitment to creativity, sustainability and transformation.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Strategic Programme Development

Oversee projects, partnerships, and collaborations, identifying opportunities for learning and growth, including JBEU projects and initiatives.

Manage partner and collaborator liaison, onboarding, and relationship development, maintaining positive relationships with a wide variety of partners.

Support teams towards achieving collective objectives, including leading programme weekly team meetings and course development.

Work with the wider team to ensure that the organisation is connected to key external cultural and environmental developments.

Maintain Native's leadership and understanding of emerging issues in Ireland's cultural and creative sector through regular check-ins of new policies, tenders, and reports.

Environmental Action Programmes

Coordinate with guest speakers and workshop leaders to enrich our offerings.

Communications and Reporting

The production of policy, strategy and roadmap documents as required by the project in question.

Oversight and proofing of communications materials as produced by Sustainability Coordinators on various projects with a focus on internal report feedback.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Participate in and present at both internal and external meetings, contributing to developmental and strategic planning.

Lead the sustainability programmes team on project management, deadlines, milestones and KPIs.

Contract administration for key projects, as appropriate.

Other duties as required and within reason/within the scope of the role.

TERMS

This is a mat-leave cover contract, lasting at minimum 6 months, with the possibility of additional months being added as required. Starting date would ideally be at the end of August/very beginning of September 2025

The working week will consist of 5 days per week, with the options to flex down to 4 days per week if needed. To be decided with the company Directors and General Manager

A blended working environment is offered by Native Events

Remote working may be facilitated on some days per week but must be agreed two weeks in advance and highlighted on the shared calendar

The role is based primarily in the Native Events office in Segotia in Dublin 6

Office hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday as standard but flexible working hours may be accommodated between 8am and 6pm

All team members are required to communicate their weekly schedules in advance with the General Manager

Flexibility may be required with work hours and with location-based work on-site during festival periods

It should be understood that at times you will be expected to work such hours as are necessary for the workload and deadlines in question

Annual Leave is based on 20 days per annum, and will be pro-rated based on the timeline of the contract and number of days working per week
