Overview

Principal Connections – executive search has been retained to recruit for the key post of Head of Production on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing organisation in Connacht.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership to a critical production unit within the company's global supply chain and ensure objectives relating to People, Quality, Customer Service and Cost are consistently achieved.
  • Lead the implementation of Lean practices and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across production.
  • Manage financial and budgetary performance and embed quality and customer satisfaction as core principles in all departmental activities.
  • Lead and develop site production to deliver on the business plan and budgets, while collaborating with Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, Finance and Information Technology to ensure cross-functional excellence.
  • Support the site's strategic goals, behavioural standards and corporate values as the organisation expands production to meet increasing customer demand.
Requirements
  • Third-level qualified with a proven record of achievement in a comparable senior-level role, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
  • Commercially astute and results-driven with the presence and gravitas to embody the organisation's values, and strong team leadership capability and strategic vision.
  • Ability to engage, influence and build credibility at all levels of the organisation.
