Flexsource are currently looking for experienced and qualified Spray Painters / Panel Beaters for a full-time, permanent position for our client based in Kilcullen, County Kildare.

The successful candidate will be responsible for stripping and rebuilding damaged vehicles, and painting/repairing vehicles of all types to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damage
  2. Removing all previous paint coats and layers using appropriate chemicals and solvents
  3. Preparing surfaces for new paint application using manual and power sanding tools
  4. Masking and protecting parts that are not to be painted or coated
  5. Mixing paints and applying primer and paint (solvent and topcoat), including surface polishing
  6. Painting/repairing vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times
  7. Inspecting painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags, and unpainted areas
  8. Stripping and rebuilding damaged vehicles
  9. Maintaining tools and keeping equipment clean and in a proper state of repair
  10. Advising and reporting (job card) on vehicle faults and bodywork requirements noticed while working on a vehicle, including future requirements using VHC
  11. Recording all parts, paint, sundries, etc. used during the course of repair (job card) and ensuring all labour and parts are charged appropriately
  12. Ensuring all bodywork of the vehicle is thoroughly examined and condition reported on the reverse of the job card and signed by the inspecting technician
  13. Looking for ways to identify future customer cost savings by recommending preventative maintenance
  14. Ensuring that vehicles are presented to the customer fully repaired and in a clean condition
  15. Attending internal and external training courses
  16. Ensuring a VHC check is carried out on all cars
  17. Explaining to customers, as and when required, the technical nature of the work required

Key Requirements:

  1. Spray painting experience
  2. Panel beating experience
  3. Strong organisational and planning skills
